|Doreen Frake a licensed clinical social worker who received my MSW in 1994 from Rutgers, The State University with a minor in gerontology and obtained my clinical license in 1996. Post graduate, I have received certifications in animal assisted therapy, clinical supervision of graduate students and school counseling. Over the years, I have worked in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient medical facilities, assisted living facilities and psychiatric hospitals.
Prior to joining Garden State Behavioral Health, I was trained in affect regulation therapy and worked with Alzheimer patients utilizing an innovative computer program designed to retain short memory and slow down the disease process. My specialties include treating depression, anxiety, grief and bereavement. I counsel most populations including adolescents, adults, families and couples. Cognitive behavioral therapy is provided in a positive, supportive environment where each treatment plan is unique to the client’s needs and desired goals.
